Tampa Bay Regional Planning Council

The webinar will highlight a multi-regional FloridaCommerce CDBG-MIT initiative that developed a standardized methodology for assessing future extreme rainfall and brought partners together across jurisdictional boundaries to identify potential mitigation strategies. Participants will gain insight into the project approach, learn how the data and findings have informed vulnerability assessments and other related planning efforts, explore a range of gray, green, and hybrid flood mitigation strategies across 12 conceptual mitigation plans, and learn how to access the regional data. The webinar will showcase the Flood Mitigation Best Practice portal, which includes links and information on on-the-ground projects, ordinances, stormwater manuals, and relevant organizations.

We hope you will join us for this practical discussion on extreme future rainfall, cross-jurisdictional planning, and flood mitigation strategies.

This webinar has been approved by the FLAPA Suncoast Chapter for 1.5 CM Credits and 1.0 Sustainability & Resilience Credit.
