TBRPC is thrilled to announce that three U.S. Economic Development Administration (EDA) FY25 Disaster Supplemental Grants have been awarded in our region, helping strengthen economic recovery and resilience following recent extreme weather events.
- Hernando County Government received $13.6 million for critical infrastructure improvements at the Brooksville-Tampa Bay Regional Airport (BKV), supporting aviation development, job creation, and long-term economic growth.
- City of Treasure Island received $125,000 to develop an Economic Revitalization and Resiliency Plan focused on industry diversification, business attraction, and guiding post-hurricane rebuilding efforts.
- Tampa Bay Wave received $1.4 million to launch a pilot accelerator initiative designed to foster economic resilience in the wake of Hurricanes Idalia, Helene, and Milton.
These investments will help our communities rebuild stronger, create opportunities, and enhance resilience across the Tampa Bay region.
