Mitigating the Impacts of Disasters

Hazard mitigation actions reduce or eliminate the loss of life and property by lessening the impacts of disasters. The Tampa Bay Regional Planning Council (TBRPC) offers the following hazard mitigation technical assistance services to local governments:

  2. Community Rating System (CRS) annual re-certification and cycle visits.
  3. Vulnerability Assessments compliant with Section 380.093, F.S.

TBRPC staff also convene a regional group of hazard mitigation professionals to share resources and best practices when updating their local mitigation strategy.
