Are you concerned about flooding in your neighborhood?

The Tampa Bay Regional Planning Council (TBRPC), in partnership with Hernando County and the City of Brooksville, is conducting a flood Vulnerability Assessment with funding from the Florida Resilient Grant Program. The Vulnerability Assessment Report will detail the depths of water caused by different flooding events, measure the impacts of those flooding events on regionally significant critical assets, and develop focus areas to become eligible and apply for funding through the Florida Resilient Grant Program to implement adaptations in these areas. The TBRPC is holding a Public Outreach event for Hernando County and the City of Brooksville to:

1. Coordinate with the community to obtain input on areas of flooding,
2. Gather public recommendations of critical assets to the community,
3. Obtain public recommendations for guiding factors to improve resilience
to flooding from sea level rise, storm surge, high tide, and extreme rainfall
events, and
4. Utilize community input to help prioritize the most significant risks.
