Activities
Intergovernmental Coordination for Resiliency
Tampa Bay Regional Planning Council staff engage stakeholders in the implementation of the Regional Resiliency Action Plan (RRAP) through a variety of Work Groups. Areas of focus include Management and Planning, Clean Energy, Shorelines, Communications, Infrastructure/Stormwater, Transportation, and Land Use/Building Design.
The Resiliency Coalition’s MPC advises TBRPC staff on the current work, obstacles, and accomplishments of the Resiliency Coalition’s member governments. The MPC also serves as a forum for peer-to-peer knowledge sharing. Local government staff working in planning, emergency management, resiliency, sustainability, stormwater, transportation, floodplain management, and development review are encouraged to join.
In 2023 the Clean Energy Work Group will focus on electric vehicle infrastructure planning and will support local governments efforts for developing objectives and plans to increase energy efficiency, fuel reduction, meet clean energy goals, and advance energy resilience projects. The Work Group will discuss technical data needs and processes for conducting inventory assessments and developing baselines, metrics, methodologies, and cost-benefit analysis. The Work Group’s efforts will support regional dialogue and collaboration on best practices. The Work Group will also look for opportunities to pursue grants for technical assistance, and support implementation. The Work Group plans to meet monthly in person. Public and private sector representatives are welcome.
