Stormwater Management Public Education & Training Committee

Improving Stormwater Management Approaches

Stormwater runoff is one of the largest nonpoint source pollutants to Tampa Bay, which can lead to the degradation of the region’s drinking water resources and valuable aquatic ecosystems. Funded by the Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT), TBRPC coordinates a regional Stormwater Public Education and Training Committee.

The Stormwater Committee meets four times a year to discuss nonpoint source pollution prevention education, define issues of common interest, and share best practices for supporting the National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System permitting requirements.
