TBRPC’s Director of Resiliency Speaks at Spotlight Tampa Bay Panel

On December 5th, Director of Resiliency Cara W. Serra AICP CFM participated in Tampa Bay Times’ Spotlight Tampa Bay at the Shanna and Bryan Glazer JCC, a Jewish community center in Tampa.

This panel was a part of a series of community dialogues hosted by the Times. The Times began hosting Spotlight Tampa Bay in 2023 to foster enlightened conversations between its journalists, community leaders, and readers on important issues facing the region and state. 

The panelists discussed how we can adapt our infrastructure, enhance emergency response and mitigate environmental impacts in the face of a changing climate.

Panelists also included TECO’s VP of Energy Supply Carlos Aldazabal, Duke Energy’s VP of Government and Community Relations Sharon Arroyo, Hillsborough County Public Works Department Director of Engineering and Operations Josh Bellotti, P.E., and TBEP’s Assistant Director Maya Burke.
