Tbrpc Presents Clean Air Tampa Bay to Congresswoman Castor and EPA Deputy Director McCabe

On Thursday March 27, 2024, Congresswoman Kathy Castor (FL-14) hosted EPA Deputy Director Janet McCabe in St. Petersburg. Congresswoman Kathy Castor invited local leaders to highlight actions being implemented to move towards cleaner air in the Tampa Bay region.

The highlight of the meeting was the unveiling of TBRPC’s Clean Air Tampa Bay program. The Clean Air Tampa Bay is funded by the EPA Climate Pollution Reduction Grant (CPRG). The TBRPC shared the results from the Priority Climate Action Plan (PCAP) and an overview of their application for CPRG Phase II funding.

Meeting participants included The City of Tampa, The City St. Petersburg, USF Patel College for Global Sustainability, Tampa Bay Estuary Program, and The Hillsborough County Environmental Protection Commission (EPC).
