Principal Planner – Community and Economic Development

The Tampa Bay Regional Planning Council (TBRPC) is seeking a Principal Planner to lead our community and economic development initiatives in support of member governments across the Tampa Bay region. Reporting directly to the Planning Director, this client-focused role requires the ability to deliver high-quality products on time, manage diverse partnerships, and demonstrate a passion for helping communities build resilient and sustainable economies. Responsibilities include managing grant- and contract-funded projects, providing technical assistance, conducting analyses, developing strategic plans and reports, and facilitating regional collaborations.
Regional Planner

TBRPC is seeking a Regional Planner to assist with sustaining, creating, and executing organizational initiatives in the areas of land use, economic development, and housing. The Regional Planner will lead or participate in projects in technical areas such as community planning and zoning, floodplain management, economic development, economic analysis, or brownfields. The position will conduct studies for communities through contracts or by complying with grant requirements for multi-jurisdiction projects. This position will develop recommendations on code and zoning ordinances as assigned, research ordinances, review and draft reports, and present recommendations.
