The Tampa Bay Local Emergency Planning Committee (LEPC) was established under EPCRA and is the hazardous materials preparedness committee for the Tampa Bay Florida counties of Citrus, Hernando, Pasco, Pinellas, Hillsborough and Manatee. The LEPC is not a response entity, nor does it control or direct response to hazardous materials incidents. LEPC serves as a forum for elected state and local officials, police, fire, civil defense, environment, transportation, public health professionals, hospital officials, facility representatives, community groups, the media, and citizens to work together in HAZMAT response planning.
The purpose of the survey is to identify the extent of trained personnel at agencies in the region (Tampa Bay Florida), and to answer questions on agency personnel, equipment and needs for response to HAZMAT incidents involving extremely hazardous substances.
Survey participants: Agencies/Depts: Fire, EMS, LE, Health, Hospitals, Environmental, Public Works, Communications, Utilities, Transportation, etc.
Geographical Area: Within Citrus, Hernando, Pasco, Pinellas, Hillsborough and Manatee counties and municipalities.
Survey period: August 2023 (please try to complete before August 7th)
