Conceptual Master Planning in Downtown New Port Richey

Through funding provided by the U.S. Department of Treasury’s Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security (CARES) Act, Tampa Bay Regional Planning Council prepared a Conceptual Master Plan for the Downtown Rivergate-Palm District in New Port Richey.

Sarah Vitale, AICP, TBRPC Senior Planner, and Harry Walsh, TBRPC Economic Development Planner, presented the conceptual plan of to the New Port Richey City Council on March 2, 2021. The 3D model incorporates urban design concepts that increase the area’s resiliency to storm surge and inland flooding and presents resilient and sustainable economic development concepts.
