Citrus County has established an ongoing commitment to becoming a more resilient community, including joining the Tampa Bay Regional Resiliency Coalition in 2018. With the County’s firm commitment to becoming more resilient to the impacts from flooding, the TBRPC, on behalf of the County, applied for and received funding from the Florida Department of Environmental Protection under their Resilient Florida Grant Program to conduct a Vulnerability Assessment pursuant to the requirements of F.S. 380.93 to assess rising sea levels, high tides, and extreme rainfall events, and their impact on critical and regionally significant assets throughout the county.
This report documents each of the tasks, methodologies, and outcomes of the vulnerability assessment.
