The TBRPC Resiliency Team Attended the Inflation Reduction Act Educational Workshop

On January 24th, the TBRPC Resiliency Team attended the Inflation Reduction Act (IRA) Educational Workshop at USF’s St. Pete campus. The Workshop was presented by the Florida Solar Energy Industries Association (FLaSEIA).

This event for commercial property owners and community stakeholders, revolved around making the most of federal programs to increase community resilience through economic and energy independence.

Speakers included U.S. Representative Kathy Castor (FL14) to discuss IRA solar energy tax credits and direct pay options for going solar, as well as IRS representatives, and local solar businesses who shared how non-profits and government entities can benefit from these options too.

The clean energy Investment Tax Credit provides up to a 30% credit for qualifying investments that meet certain requirements.
