TBRPC Hosts MacDill MIRR Workshop and Site Visit

On July 20th, TBRPC and their consultant AECOM hosted a half-day Technical Advisory Committee Workshop for the MacDill Military Installation Resiliency Review (MIRR).

The participants, which included city and county staff, private utility providers, transportation experts, and MacDill staff, reviewed key vulnerabilities and participated in an interactive exercise to identify shared risks inside and outside of the fence line.

The following day, members of the core project team and staff from the City of Tampa were joined by key base staff to review the bases challenges and opportunities at the ground level.

The site visit included facilities on and off the installation. Ben Allushuski from the City of Tampa helped the project team better understand existing and planned stormwater infrastructure in the study area.
